Agustin Azcatl (Strategic Associate) is a pharmaceutical chemist and biologist graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and holds a master's degree in administration from La Salle University.

He is part of Ortiz & Ramírez as an Associate since 2020, with experience in the pharmaceutical industry in national and international laboratories in the areas of Quality Assurance, Process Validation, Regulatory Affairs and the last 18 years in industrial property matters.  His practice has been developed in patent infringement matters, non-infringement opinions, response to warnings issued by COFEPRIS during the process of obtaining health registrations for drugs and medical devices.

He is an expert in industrial property matters and president of the Colegio Nacional de Químicos Farmacéuticos Biólogos México, A.C., where he participates in different forums with authorities from different areas of pharmaceutical practice, such as Pharmacopoeia of the United Mexican States (FEUM), Hospital and Community Pharmacy, among others.
